An answer on why a residential block has a two hour parking limit at all, and what it would take to lift it between 9th and 10th, from a note by Carey.

What we did

Went and stood there, then filed it with Denver 311 by location and asked for a written answer. Both the case and the answer are on this page. You can quote the numbers to 311 yourself.

What the city said

Answered in 13 hours: DOTI will begin evaluating the Pearl Street restrictions for removal. Neither question got answered, so we still cannot tell you why the limit is there or what the evaluation involves. And we did not do this. The decision came out of a meeting between DOTI, Councilman Hinds, and Carey the day before we wrote. Carey spent seven months getting into that room.
